Don and Larry combined their expertise to bring you the BEST possible home care service possible. Don has been a general handyman working for contractors and owning his own handyman service.

How did we get started?
A little bird whispered to Larry one day that a home care business was needed in Jacksonville to assist home owners with their empty properties while they were away. Since the addition of Home Guard Services would have been too much for one person to handle (AND since Larry NEEDED Don’s expertise) we decided to combine our energies to provide this great service.
Enough already! What exactly does Home Guard DO?
We provide a home checking service that is customized to YOUR particular needs. Our goal is to offer the services needed and wanted by First Coast vacation home owners.
If you are away from your home for ANY length of time and would like someone to look in and make scheduled visits to it, we are your servants! We check for anything that is not right.
We can check weekly, bi-weekly or monthly as needed.
We understand that everyone’s home and needs are different.
So What Is the Cost?
BASIC HOME GUARD
Our basic service includes an examination of the exterior of your home, an inspection of the interior, checking all windows, doors, appliances, plumbing fixtures and utility components. We check for critter infestations or take overs! We will remove publications and other items that might make your home look vacant. You will be notified immediately of any problems or issues, otherwise a monthly report with exact times of inspections and the condition of the property at those times will be made available. We also check your home after major storms or power outages. Contract length varies from customer to customer but may be as short as a month or as long as necessary.
Cost:
Monthly (One visit per week per month) - $ 100.00
Bi-Weekly (One visit every two weeks) - $ 60.00
Weekly- $ 30.00
Exterior Inspection Only:
Monthly (One visit per week per month) - $45.00
Bi-Weekly (One visit every two weeks) - $25.00
PRE-ARRIVAL
This service is provided just prior to your arrival and include opening window coverings, turning on lights, clearing sidewalks and decks. Setting out patio furniture and setting temperature controls for a/c or heat, water heater and spa. Stocking refrigerator and fresh flower service are available at extra charge.

POST DEPARTURE
This service provided after you leave includes removing perishable food and beverages, collecting any items you need sent to you, resetting of temperature controls and setting out and retrieving trash and recycle bins.

BASIC HOME GUARD PLUS PRE-ARRIVAL AND POST DEPARTURE SERVICE
Cost:
$150.00
WAIT SERVICE
We will wait for and/or accompany the cable guy or the gas company, repair or maintenance workers, pool maintenance workers, landscapers, or installers.
Cost:
$10.00/hour
ALARM CALL OUT
Let First Coast Home Guard be your contact for alarm calls! We will be your eyes and ears and keep you informed!

Neither Larry or Don are licensed home inspectors. We report only those items that are able to be seen visually without intrusive measures. We are NOT responsible for damage occurring to your home but WILL report anything we see!
